"Because it is the largest abstract and citation database in the world, many institutions make Scopus one of the benchmarks of journal quality, and therefore we organize the international conference," the Dean of Faculty of Industrial Technology, Zakir Sabara, said here on Monday.
He added the international conference will feature speakers from Japan, Malaysia, France and Australia.
The organizing committee has completed an agreement with the IOP Publishing based in Bristol, England. IOP Publishing provides a range of journals, electronic books, magazines, websites and services that enable researchers and research organisations to reach the widest possible audience for their research.
The agreement mentions the IOP Publishing is willing to be a partner of FTI UMI in publishing the proceedings of the conference.
"Hopefully, the scientific works of lecturers and academicians of FTI UMI, as well as the conference participants can contribute to the scientific world in the global arena," the Dean said.
Earlier, the FTI UMI received two apprentices from USMB France, and conducted a special training to strengthen the capacity of lecturers and students in academic writing with instructors from Tohoku University, Japan.
