Urumqi, Xiangjiang (ANTARA Sulsel) - The regional government of West Sulawesi province is planning to cooperation in the agricultural sector with the local government of Urumqi, Xinjiang province, China, a West Sulawesi regional government official said.
"We can learn from Urumqi, a region which is progressive in its agricultural and husbandry development in China. We will see its potentials that could be developed," Muh. Abduh, the head of West Sulawesi`s Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Service, said here on Monday.
Muh Abduh was here to accompany the West Sulawesi governor in a meeting with Xinjiang provincial government officials.
"We can discuss many things in the meeting including the agricultural sector cooperation," he said.
West Sulawesi has sent a delegation to China to attend an exposition in that country.
Last Friday, the West Sulawesi regional government held a meeting to finalize its preparations for the tourism and investment exposition.
"This meeting is very important to finalize preparations for the holding of `Sulawesi Trade Tourism and Investment Expo in Beijing, China on June 2 - 8, 2013," Head of the Regional Investment Coordinating Board Surung Katta said Friday.
Surung said that the holding of the exposition in China was initiated by the local investment coordinating board.
He said that a 40-member delegation would leave for Beijing through Jakarta to Beijing on Saturday.
Members of the delegation include West Sulawesi Governor Anwar Adnan Saleh and other local government officials. A Abdussalam
