Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - The Muslim preacher Faried Wadjedy during his Idul Fitri sermon in Makassar, South Sulawesi, called on the public to support the president-elect Joko Widodo and his running mate, Jusuf Kalla.
"We have to realize that Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, and Jusuf Kalla were elected as the president and vice president by the will of Allah, and therefore, let us support and pray for them to build this nation successfully," Faried stated during the Idul Fitri prayer service on Monday.
At a congregation of thousands of Muslims, the preacher noted that Idul Fitri was a good occasion for the people to forgive each other for any misdeeds after the presidential election.
