Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - The personnel of the South Sulawesi office of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) have found the body of another passenger of the crashed AirAsia flight QZ8501 in Pinrang District, South Sulawesi Province.

"Another body has been recovered in Pinrang and is being identified," Arianto Ardi, commander of the joint SAR team, confirmed here Friday.

Six bodies of the ill-fated plane`s passengers were found in Sulawesi: five of them in Majene, West Sulawesi, and one in Pinrang.

In addition to the six bodies, some debris and a luggage were also found in the coastal area of Sendana, Majene District.

QZ8501 was flying from Surabaya in East Java Province to Singapore on December 28, 2014, when it crashed in the Java Sea near the Karimata strait.

The plane had on board 162 people comprising 155 Indonesians (including the pilot), a French co-pilot, three South Koreans, a Malaysian, a Singaporean, and a Briton.

The transportation ministry`s National Transportation Safety Commission (KNKT) has released 18 points of factual information in a preliminary report based on the black box recording of QZ8501.

Head of the KNKT`s AirAsia QZ8501 Investigation Team Mardjono Siswosuwarno stated at a press conference Thursday that until January 27, 2015, 70 bodies were recovered by a joint search team headed by Basarnas.

He also noted that the second in command pilot, or co-pilot, was flying the plane when the accident happened.
