Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook Bone district in South Sulawesi province on Monday.

The epicenter of the quake which struck at 05.18 p.m. local time was located eight kilometers northwest of Bone at a depth of 10 kilometers, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Office in South Sulawesi said on Monday.

The quake was strongly felt by people living in Makassar municipal city and Soppeng district.

There was no immediate report of casualties or material damage.
