Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - Suspended chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Abraham Samad dishonored a summons from the South and West Sulawesi provincial police to undergo questioning for his alleged part in a demographic document forgery case.

"The general crime investigation directorate was supposed to question him today. But until the evening he did not show up," spokesman for the provincial police Snr. Comsr. Endi Sutendi said here on Tuesday.

He said the police planned to serve another summons on Samad because he still had to answer several questions.

Samad also dishonored a similar summons from the police on February 24.

"He did not show up without clear reasons. Neither did his lawyer notify us of his client being absent. So the questioning today was cancelled," he said.

On February 17, the provincial police announced the legal status of the suspended KPK chairman as a suspect in the alleged case of demographic document forgery.

"AS was named a suspect on March 9 after the South Sulawesi provincial police conducted a review of the case to follow up on a review of the case held at the National Police Headquarters on February 5," Sutendi said recently.

Samad was charged with falsifying demographic document. Feriyani Lim who reported the case to the police also has been named a suspect.
