Makassar (ANTARA Sulsel) - Twelve ambassadors are set to attend the Makassar Ambassadors` Meeting which will coincide with the Lovely Toraja Festival scheduled for November 6-9, an official said.
"Of the 19 embassies invited, 12 ambassadors will come, while the rest will send their consul-level officials," Chief of the South Sulawesi Provincial Tourism Office Jufri Rahman said after a coordination meeting held to discuss preparations for the event here on Saturday.
The 12 ambassadors include those from Slovakia, Sudan, Croatia, Canada, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Mongolia, Chile, Bangladesh, Denmark and Ukraine.
The ambassadors are scheduled to arrive in the South Sulawesi provincial capital of Makassar on November 6. They will play golf at Paddy Valley until the afternoon of November 7. Thereafter, they will leave for Rantepao, North Toraja district, to attend the festival.
"They will watch the sunset and have a dinner in Pinrang. We expect them to arrive in Rantepao by 09.30 p.m.," he said.
On November, the ambassadors will travel to Londa and Katekesu before attending on the following day the Lovely Toraja Festival when it will be at its peak.
"The Lovely Toraja`s peak point will be preceded by a cultural carnival to be held at Bakti Square," he said.
