Makassar, South Sulawesi (Antara Sulsel) - The Indonesia Muslim Fashion Designers Association (IPBM) is holding the Makassar Women Fashion Expo here on April 13-16, 2017, according to IPBM Chairperson Meeta Fauzan.
"The Makassar Women Fashion Expo this time is themed `Dynamic Interaction with the Global Market` because we see the women in Makassar are quite open-minded about Islamic fashion trends in the country," she remarked here on Friday.
According to Fauzan, the road show exhibition of hijabs is a step towards promoting Islamic fashion products of Indonesia, especially in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
She explained that the activity was aimed at empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Indonesia to harness their potential.
"This exhibition is one of the apt platforms for SMEs to promote and market their products," Fauzan said, adding that the event is expected to empower and make SMEs more independent in facing the challenges and competition of global trade.
