Hasanuddin University Holds Capacity Building Workshop for Student Volunteers
Makassar (ANTARA) - The workshop of capacity building for International Office (IO) student volunteers (Stuvos) was held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at UNHAS Hotel and Convention.
The aim of the workshop was to prepare the eleven students who passed through their probation period of being the IO volunteers for one year's service.
The workshop was officially opened by the Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS) Secretary, Prof. Sumbangan Baja, and was accompanied by Dr. Andi Masyitha Irwan the Head of IO and Muhammad Ridwan, Secretary of IO and other IO’s staff.
The IO offered several sessions in this workshop: Workshop Orientation, delivered by Mr. Ridwan, Direction and Policy of IO Towards Student Volunteers by Mrs. Irwan. How to be an Effective Volunteer by Nirma Hasyim, Independent Consultant/Experienced as Global Volunteer.
Meanwhile, the Introduction to South Sulawesi Tourism Destination was delivered by Andi Zulkarnain, Provincial Office of Culture and Tourism, South Sulawesi, Public Speaking by Eddyman Ferial, the News Anchor of TVRI Makassar/Lecturer, Hospitality Management by Jaka Priatna, General Director of UNHAS Hotel and Convention, and Basic Journalism by Iswanto, Journalist and Lecturer.
As a part of the workshop, all Stuvos must have submitted their reflection paper describing what they have learnt for this one day workshop.
