Makassar (ANTARA News) - The consultative meeting between Japanese and Indonesian air transportation authorities produced three important deals.
The deals covered liberalization of flight entry points, additional flight to Narita, Japan, and expansion of code-sharing system, the Japanese consular office in Makassar said Wednesday.
The meeting was held in Jakarta on April 20 to 22, 2010, with Japan represented by Hisataka Hirogochi, international air transportation division chief, air transportation directorate of the ministry of land, infrastructure, transport, and tourism (MLIT), and the Japanese embassy represented by Trasportation Attache Ehara.
The Indonesian delegation was led by Air Transportation Director, at the Transportation Ministry, Tri S. Sunoko, and others.
According to the release, the agreement on the liberalization of entry points is the mutual liberalization of incoming flight entry points from partner countries.
With regard to flight capacity, the two sides could increase it to a maximum of 75 flights per week, or double the current position.
With regard to additional route to Narita, Indonesian airline companies may increase their flight routes to Narita from seven to 14 times a week.
And with regard to the code-sharing system, a code-system will be allowed without limit of flight routes between the two countries or with the domestic areas of the two countries.(H-NG/H-YH)
