Mamuju, W Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - The District of Mamuju Utara of West Sulawesi will soon implement plan to build a patchouli oil processing factory .

The factory will be built in the sub-district of Pasangkayu, a lawmaker Ibnu Munzir said here on Sunday.

The project to cost at least Rp5 billion, will be financed with a fund from the state budget, Ibnu said.

The regency of Mamuju Utara has made available land for the project , therefore implementation should not take long, he said.

The factory will benefit patchouli farmers in the area, therefore, the local people should facilitate implementation of the project, he said.

He said he has also pushed for immediate implementation of a plan to build a cacao processing factory in Polam, and a rattan factory in Mamuju in West Sulawesi.
