Makassar (ANTARA) - The 2024 Indonesian International Students Mobility Award (IISMA) Camp Part #2 was carried out by the International Office (IO), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Grand Ballroom UNHAS Hotel and Convention.
There were a number of sessions offered to the IISMA applicants coming from a variety of different faculties such as Self-Reflection, Introduction to the 2024 IISMA, Choosing Courses, Course Conversion Policy, and Wrap Up. Apart from students as IISMA registrants, the second part of this camp was also attended by Heads of Study Programs throughout UNHAS.
As this camp started the day before, the first session of day two was Self-Reflection facilitated by Muhammad Ridwan, M.A. (Secretary of IO).
In this session, there were two questions proposed to the students: “what they learnt from sessions offered the day before” and “what they wanted to improve on the second day”.

Mr. Ridwan invited all the audiences to speak on the reflection. Some students mentioned that the feedback from the reviewer for their essay was very helpful.
They could identify the grammar errors as well as the flow of the writing. Several students also mentioned how choosing the host university session from the first day has opened their eyes and minds to not only pick any host university they want but they need to consider their English proficiency scores, while being realistic.
The second session offered was the Introduction to the 2024 IISMA by Andi Masyitha Irwan, Ph.D (Head of IO) and was moderated by Haniek Khoirunnissa Baja, M.Sc (IO Task Force). The session has been presented many times since IO held IISMA dissemination last year.
Among the IISMA registrars, there were the fellow Head of Study Program who were not familiar with this flagship program from the Ministry Education and Culture. Additionally, several students also took part in the official socialisation of IISMA through this camp.

The next session was choosing the courses followed by some discussion. This session shared valuable information as some of the awardees faced problems in choosing the course.
The Head of Sub-Directorate of Independent Learning (Pembelajaran Mandiri), UNHAS, Makkarennu, Ph.D very often called Ms. Nunu as the presenter of the third session and Khaeruddin.Ph.D (IO Task Force) as the moderator have raised several questions from the audience. This session also continued with practice. Ms. Nunu encouraged both parties to continue the discussion with the result of mutual benefit from the study programs as well as the students.
The last session was the closing ceremony by the Vice Rector for Academic and Students Affairs, Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D,. Sp.BM(K). He emphasised the importance of the camp.
Prior to his speech, Andi Masyitha Irwan, Ph.D (Head of IO) reported the last two days of the camp. In her report, she mentioned how the first day went, in which the students had been facilitated to get assistance from the Language Services Lecturers in composing their essays for IISMA.

Furthermore, Prof. Ruslin, in his closing speech, reminded the students to be motivated and resilient in facing the selection process of IISMA. Prof. Ruslin closed the camp and had a photo session with all the participants.
