Makassar (ANTARA) - Hasanuddin University (UNHAS)’s International Office (IO) and Directorate of Partnership (DoP), participated in a Zoom meeting with the International Cultural Communication Malaysia (ICCM), which also serves as the secretariat of the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA), based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on December 27, 2024.
Representing the IO was Muhammad Ridwan, M.A. (Secretary of the IO), while Dr. Zulkifli Tahir, M.Eng. (Head of the Sub-Directorate of International Partnership) attended on behalf of the DoP. ICCM was represented by Ms. Cyntia and Ms. Risma from its Administrative and Marketing Divisions.
The discussion opened with plans to host a series of four guest lectures, each lasting two hours, focusing on the theme of "Food, Nutrition, and Health." These lectures, scheduled for early March 2025, will feature an expert in the field, whose name will be confirmed in subsequent discussions. The ICCM will oversee the logistics and facilitation of the lectures, while Hasanuddin University will manage participant preparation, including engaging lecturers and students from the Faculty of Public Health (FK) and other relevant faculties.
In addition to planning the guest lecture series, the ICCM provided an overview of their organization and its role within ITEA, highlighting their commitment to fostering international educational collaborations. The meeting concluded with a virtual photo session, underscoring the cooperative spirit between the institutions. Both parties agreed to determine the schedule for the next Zoom meeting, during which further details will be finalized.
This collaboration reflects UNHAS’s dedication to expanding its global partnerships and providing opportunities for its academic community to engage in meaningful international dialogues and learning experiences.
