Makassar (ANTARA) - Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) warmly welcomed representatives from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. Makassar time in the Rector's Lounge Room.

The UiTM delegation included three personnel. They are Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah Abd. Rahman, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Ts. Mohd Rafizi bin Rahmad, Director of Strategic Administration & Human Resources Division, JPI UiTM, and Mrs. Nur Syazwani Ahamad Azahari, Senior Statistician, Strategic Information Unit, JPI UiTM, while UNHAS was represented by Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. (Rector), accompanied by Ansariadi, Ph.D. (Director of Partnership), Risma Illa Maulany, Ph.D. (Director of Education), Sahariyanti Saad, Ph.D. (Director of TransDIVA), Muhammad Ridwan, M.A. (Secretary of the International Office), Zulkifli Tahir, Ph.D. (Head of Sub-Directorate of Foreign Partnership), Dra. Harniati (Head of Sub-Division of Foreign Affairs), and other UNHAS staff.

During the meeting, both institutions engaged in productive discussions covering a range of topics, including potential research collaborations and UNHAS’s experiences in establishing its own companies. The exchange of ideas was insightful and provided a foundation for future cooperation.

The UiTM delegation continued their visit with a trip to the Polytechnic of Ujung Pandang (PNUP) before returning to UNHAS for a courtesy meeting with Prof. Nasrum Masi, Ph.D., Head of Research and Community Development.
