Makassar (ANTARA) - The International Office (IO) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) warmly welcomed two inbound students from the Universität der Bundeswehr München, Germany, on Monday, January 6, 2025.

The students, Lieutenant Riccardo Sawaschinski and Lieutenant Max Werner, were accompanied by Dr. Birkah Latif and Dr. Kadaruddin from the Faculty of Law (FH). Muhammad Ridwan, M.A., the IO Secretary, led the welcoming ceremony, joined by Saaduddin, M.Sc. (IO Task Force) and other IO staff.

During the visit, Mr. Ridwan provided an overview of the IO’s signature programs, designed to enhance international students' cultural and academic experiences at UNHAS.

He highlighted the Geography Series (G-Series), where international students showcase their countries to both local and international academic communities. He also elaborated on the International Student Festival (ISF) and the International Cultural Program (ICP), among other initiatives that foster intercultural exchange and global understanding.

The students also enjoyed a tour of the IO facilities, where Mr. Ridwan shared insights about the many photos and displays that document the IO’s vibrant history and activities. The engaging walkthrough offered the students a glimpse into the dynamic role of the IO in promoting internationalization at UNHAS.

The visit concluded with a group photo session and the presentation of UNHAS-themed merchandise to both students.
