Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Cellular telephone operator PT Telkomsel is adding 30 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) to its network to help support the 19th ASEAN Summit in Bali, Telkomsel said in media release.

"Besides that, it will also add two compact mobile base transceivers (Combat) and wireless internet access Wi-Fi in the Nusa Dua Convention center, the main venue of the summit," General Manager Network Operations of Telkomsel for Bali Region, Ustriklanov Z. Titus said in the release.

Titus said that the international event would help show to the world that telecommunications in Indonesia had the quality which was equal to those in advanced countries in various parts of the world.

"Optimizing the network is one of our efforts to guarantee the convenience and the smoothness of our voice and data communication services. We are doing our best to assure that the people would enjoy quality communications services during the ASEAN Summit," Titus said. (T.SYS/A014)
