Makassar (ANTARA) - The International Office (IO) continued the roadshow on Visa Arrangements for Foreign Students and Researchers. It began in the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) as a host and invited other academic communities from the Faculty of Law (FH), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP).
The roadshow was held on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Mattulada Hall, FIB. The roadshow was moderated by the Task Force of Internationalization program of FIB, Dr. Karmila Mokoginta M.A.
The roadshow started with a welcoming remark by Andi Masyitha Irwan, Ph.D (Head of IO). In her remark, Ms Masyitha commonly known as Citha said that the reason behind this roadshow was a new structure at the university level. Previously, the party in charge of visa arrangements belonged to the Foreign Cooperation Bureau, led by Ms. Harniati Hamid. As currently, this party was merged to the IO.
Therefore, the roadshow was urgently needed. Ms. Citha continued with a statement that included some updates in the immigration regulation regarding the visa arrangement. Therefore, this roadshow brought benefits to the respective academic communities from four different faculties.
