Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - Four people were killed and two others went missing in the flood that hit Tinambung subdistrict, Polewali Mandar (Polman) district, West Sulawesi province, since Saturday, a rescue worker said.

"A search and rescue team dispatched by the Hasanuddin University to the flood-hit area has set up a task force to help and collect data on the victims," SAR coordinator Salman said here on Sunday.

The team, he said, had also found at least 30 houses were carried away by flood water which reached up to one meter high.

He said that the floods hit two districts, namely Polman and Majene districts, in West Sulawesi province. The height of the floods was about one meter on Sunday, he said. (T. A014/S012)
