Mamuju, West Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulbar) - Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi has expressed his complete support to the development of higher education in West Sulawesi province.

During his working visit to Mamuju district on Sunday, the minister remarked that the region in West Sulawesi would continue to forge ahead, especially in the field of education.

"During this time, Governor Anwar Adnan Saleh has been fighting for the establishment of the State University of West Sulawesi (Unsulbar). This is a step ahead that should be lauded and fully supported," Chrisnandi affirmed.

He noted that the governor had sought permission from the central government to establish the State College of Islamic Studies on grounds that West Sulawesi was the forerunner of Islamic education.

"As a minister, I give approval or recommendation for the establishment of such a college in West Sulawesi," he affirmed.
