Makassar, S Sulawesi (Antara Sulsel) - Seven people died while, seven others were injured following a land slide in Maliwawo village, South Sulawesi, on Friday.

"Indeed, a landslide has happened in Luwu Timur. We have been informed about it by the resort police and they have also already deployed their personnel there," South Sulawesi regional police command Spokesman, Senior Commissioner Dicky Dondani, said.

"Seven people died and seven others were seriously injured. Those who survived the accident have been taken care of by a medical team," he added.

As many as 47 houses have been damaged by the disaster, with five of them being damaged heavily, Dicky said.
