Makassar, S. Sulawesi (Antaranews Sulsel) - South Sulawesi recorded an increase in export earning to US$109.92 million in November 2018, from US$101.52 million in the previous month.

Head of the Distribution Statistic of the provincial Central Bureau of Statistics Akmal said the exports in November was 8.27 percent higher than in October.

Year-on-year, the export value in November, 2018 also was 44.63 percent higher than US$76 million in the same month in 2017.

"Export earning of South Sulawesi has continued to increase from year to year as well as month to month. Month to month the increase was 8.27 percent and year-on-year the increase was 44.63 percent," he said.

He said the increase was attributable partly to nickel exports which were valued at US$70.47 million in November, 2018.

Other export commodities from South Sulawesi include oily grains , medicinal herbs, salt, sulfur, cacao, resins.

"There are 10 groups of main export commodities from South Sulawesi," he said.
