Makassar (Antaranews Sulsel) - Minister of State Enterprises Rini Soemarno said all state companies should support each other to be able to fully contribute to the state and people`s welfare.
"As state companies they should support each other that our duty as development agents would be effective and could contribute significantly to the state," Rini said in a dialog with representatives of state companies in South Sulawesi.
She pointed to cooperation between electricity company PLN and energy company PT Pertamina which have formed synergy that they could contribute more to the state, and the people`s welfare.
"PLN and Pertamina which have sought way out that they could spend their budget more effectively for mutual interest, whic in turn for the interest of the state," she said.
She said the state investment in BUMNs has continued to increase -- from Rp200 trillion in 2015 to Rp275 trillion in 2016 and to Rp385 trillion in 2017.
She said she is optimistic in 2018, BUMNs would chalk up Rp180 trillion in profit.
"I am optimistic with rising investment, this year BUMNs` profit would could reach Rp180 trillion. This year, the president wants to increase investment to Rp700 trillion.
