Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - Two people were killed and eight others were missing when a boat with 20 people on board capsized and sank in the river of Jeneberang in the district of Gowa on Sunday night.
The Makassar Search and Rescue Agency Basarnas said police and other rescue workers found 10 surviving passengers and two dead bodies at 20.000 local time on Sunday.
The dead victims are identified as Nur Inayah (5 years) and Muh.Fadly (3 years).
The surviving people are Muh Ryan (29 years), Dewi Setiawati (30 years), Nikma Maulani (8 years), Yurika (19 years),Irwan (15 years), Sofia (1 year), Muh. Aspa (35 years), Hartati (29 years), Muh. Faras (8 years), and Andi Rijal (20 years).
Basarnas is still searching for the remaining 8 missing people, and police is investigating causes of the accident.
Meanwhile, chairman of the Commission IV of the Gowa district Legislative Assembly , Asriady Arasy expressed concern with the accident , saying he hope Basarnas could immediately found the missing people. Fardah Assegaf
