Makassar (ANTARA) - The International Office (IO) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), represented by Muhammad Ridwan, M.A. (IO Secretary), and Saaduddin (IO Task Force for Immigration and International Students Affairs), recently welcomed Ryzkian Ariandi Pratama from the United States (U.S.) Consulate General Office of Surabaya who is also the Coordinator of American Corner for Eastern Indonesia and Abdul Hakim, M.A., Director of American Corner (Amcor) Makassar.
The visit aimed to share updates on the upcoming official launch of a transformed American Corner, scheduled for January 21–22, 2025, at Nipah Mall, Makassar. This innovative relocation marks a shift from the traditional campus-based setup to a public-focused format, designed to reach a wider audience, including students, lecturers, and the general public seeking U.S.-related resources.
Additionally, the visit highlighted plans for a representative of the U.S. Consulate to meet with Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa, Ph.D., (Rector). The meeting will explore opportunities for collaboration and initiatives to enhance scientific and academic engagement between the two institutions. This development underlines a shared commitment to fostering international partnerships and knowledge exchange.

The visit concluded with a photo session, reflecting the warm and productive rapport between the International Office and the U.S. representatives. Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations and the expanded impact of the American Corner in Makassar.
