Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - An Indonesian Muslim Fashion Expo will be organized at Clarion Hotel, here, from April 28 to May 1, 2016.
The expo to have 120 stands to be participated in by fashion designers from Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Makassar, Andi Yulham, Arthpro Exhition CEO, said here, recently.
The latest designs of Muslim dresses will be displayed in the fourth Indonesian Muslim Fashion Expo, he added.
A fashion show presenting works of prominent designers, will also be held to highlight the expo.
Increasingly more Indonesian Muslim women, including young girls, are opting to wear Islamic clothing as they are fashionable, decent, practical, comfortable, and alluring.
Having a population of some 250 million, of which 85 percent are Muslims, Indonesia has set a target to become a global Islamic fashion capital by 2020.
Besides being the largest Muslim populated country in the world, Indonesia`s Islamic culture is open to modernization, tolerance, pluralism and diversity.
Indonesia`s hijabs are very unique and varied, compared to those in other countries.
