Makassar (ANTARA) - Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) represented by its International Office (IO) participated in the 2024 Indonesian Education Fair (IEF) held at Yala Rajabhat University (YRU) in Thailand from December 11-12, 2024. Organized by the Indonesian Consulate Office in Songkhla, the event brought together 37 universities, both public and private, from Indonesia to promote educational opportunities to Thai students.
UNHAS was represented by Muhammad Ridwan, M.A. (IO Secretary) and Saaduddin, M.Sc. (IO Task Force), who actively engaged with high schoolers, university students, and graduates interested in pursuing higher education at UNHAS.
The UNHAS booth stood out with its unique blend of information and cultural presentation. Visitors were introduced to scholarship opportunities and academic programs at UNHAS while also experiencing Indonesia’s rich culture.
Two traditional outfits were on display: the jas tutup and songkok Bone for men, and the baju bodo with sarung sa’be for women. These cultural elements captured the attention of attendees, especially students, who flocked to the booth with curiosity and enthusiasm.
In addition to cultural exhibits, the booth distributed merchandise to visitors, making the experience memorable and interactive. UNHAS representatives also delivered a presentation highlighting the university's strengths, scholarship programs, and internationalization efforts.
The combination of academic insights and cultural showcases not only attracted visitors but also demonstrated UNHAS's commitment to fostering global partnerships and inviting international students to its diverse academic community.
