Makassar, South Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - Work will start early next year to build a 5-kilometer elevated toll road in the South Sulawesi capital city of Makassar.
Implementation of the project would begin early next year after the city administration and the contractor PT Nusantara finalize talks on the project.
"Meeting with PT Nusantara Infrastructure has been focused on progress in talks over in traffic information system and project construction," Makassar city Mayor Moh Ramdhan Pomanto said here on Tuesday.
The next step is to seek license from the Toll Road Regulator (BPJT) that often took long time, Poamto said.
"Seeking license might even take longer time than the time needed in building the project," he said.
The city mayor said there is no problem in land clearing in the implementation of the project .
"Hopefully work will start in early 2017 depending on the license . JICA has committed financial aid , therefore , there is no problem in finance," he said.
