Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Makassar will host a meeting on border dispute between Indonesia and Malaysia, on February 17-18, 2013, a local official said.
"The meeting is scheduled for February 17-18, 2013," Mahmud, the head of the Western Territorial Border Planning of the National Border Management, said here on Wednesday.
The two neighboring countries often have problems concerning the border lines. For Indonesia, the border problems usually concern it territories in East Kalimantan and Sulawesi which directly share borders with Malaysia.
Political observer Salma Tajang said in Makassar that the upcoming meeting should be able to produce a binding solution.
"This is important, so the meeting will not be just formality with no positive results," Tajang said.
